Client Overview: Our client, a respected leader in their sector, is looking to expand their proactive security team with a talented Information Security Analyst. The Opportunity: As a Remote Information Security Analyst, you will be on the front lines of defense, responsible for continuous monitoring, threat detection, and incident initial response. Your work will directly contribute to safeguarding critical systems and sensitive data against a constantly evolving threat landscape.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools for security alerts and suspicious activity.
- Investigating and triaging security incidents, providing detailed documentation and recommended remediation actions.
- Performing vulnerability scans and assisting with the coordination of patching and remediation efforts.
- Analyzing security logs and network traffic to identify anomalies and potential threats.
- Contributing to the development and refinement of security policies and procedures.
- Assisting in security awareness initiatives for the broader organization.
- Keeping abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and countermeasures.
We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience (1-2 years minimum) in an Information Security Analyst or Security Operations role.
- A solid understanding of core security principles and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with various security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti-malware, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and operating systems.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify and troubleshoot security issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CySA+ are a plus.
